Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Department of Psychiatry at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for an Associate or Full Professor position in either the non-tenure clinician educator track or the tenure track. Expertise is required in the specific area of strategic planning, program development, and evaluation. Applicants must have outstanding qualifications in clinical care, education, and research. Applicants must be license-eligible as a psychologist or clinical social worker, and have extensive experience as a child and adolescent psychologist. Applicants must have a doctoral degree in Psychology or Social work.

Teaching responsibilities may include teaching medical students, residents, and fellows in psychiatry, psychology, social work, and nursing. Interprofessional training and educating the next generation of child mental health professionals and leaders is a priority for the Division.

Research or scholarship responsibilities may include prevention and intervention development research, as well as services research and implementation science. The incoming Co-Chief will provide leadership to investigators focused on improving access to care, delivery of services in an equitable, culturally humble manner, promoting child and family engagement in care, and disseminating evidence-based practices to clinicians and policy-makers to reduce health disparities and improve the health and well-being of children, adolescents, and their families. The department has a strong track record of extramural federal funding for intervention, services, and implementation research.

The Division of Community Care and Wellness is a rapidly growing division dedicated to promoting equity in access to and delivery of evidence-based behavioral health services and advancing innovations in health care. The division supports numerous initiatives including integrated services in primary care and school-based services to improve access to behavioral health care. The successful candidate must demonstrate the ability to collaborate and partner effectively with psychiatry and psychology faculty and clinicians across multiple disciplines. The position requires the ability to forge strategic partnerships with community-based agencies, policy leaders at a local and state level, and faculty and administrators at CHOP and the University of Pennsylvania.

The Division Co-Chief reports to the Chair of the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences and works closely with the other Division Chiefs, the Vice Chair for Administration, and Associate Chairs. Division Chiefs are appointed faculty in the Department of Psychiatry in Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania.

We seek candidates who embrace and reflect diversity in the broadest sense. The University of Pennsylvania and Children's Hospital of Philadelphia are EOEs. Minorities/women/individuals with disabilities/protected veterans are encouraged to apply.
