Position Summary:

The University of Wisconsin-Platteville is seeking an Assistant Professor of Health Promotion-Wellness in the Health and Human Performance department. This is a tenure-track position with an anticipated start date of August 2023. This position has a salary of $51,000 - 55,000.  

Responsibilities: 

This is a tenure-line position that includes responsibilities of teaching department major courses such as: Private/Corporate Wellness Administration and Management, Worksite Wellness, Seminar in Health Promotion, Foundations of Wellness and may include some of the following courses: Emotional Health, Human Nutrition, Fitness Testing and Prescription and Exercise Prescription for Special Populations. Additional department responsibilities include academic advising, involvement in undergraduate research and service.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

  • Completion of a Ph.D. or Ed.D. in Health Promotion or related field, or ABD in Health Promotion or related field with completion of degree required by August, 2024.
  • Experience working with an undergraduate population and be willing to engage undergraduates in research lines. 
  • Demonstrated strong verbal, written, and pedagogical skills.
  • Minimum two years’ experience teaching at the university level
