The Office of Development and Alumni Engagement is seeking candidates for Annual Giving Coordinator role.

The Annual Giving Coordinator helps implement appropriate strategies to maximize the dollars raised and increase donor participation for the Annual Fund. Responsibilities include overseeing the effective use of relevant technologies such as Rasier's Edge, Graduway, and MailChimp. This position also provides overall management for Crowdfunding Campaigns, Brick Campaign, Senior Class Gift Campaign, and Annual Giving Ambassador Campaign. Duties will include coordinating a comprehensive solicitation schedule including marketing, solicitation, social
media, stewarding donors, establishment of campaign goals and tracking overall progress, and will assist the
Director of Annual Giving in the creation of direct mailings and online materials. The Annual Giving Coordinator
will research and investigate ways in which to engage current students and young alumni. In addition, the Annual
Giving Coordinator contributes to the college's Day of Giving planning and implementation.

Residing in the Division of College Advancement, the Office of Development & Alumni Engagement is responsible for a comprehensive fund-raising and constituent relations program targeted toward, but not limited to, alumni, friends of the college, faculty, staff, retired employees, parents, corporations and foundations. In addition to fund-raising initiatives, the Office of Development & Alumni Engagement is responsible for an extensive events calendar and a highly-detailed level of customer service for related activities throughout the campus

Main Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Director of Annual Giving with direct mail and email appeals including drafting copy, developing marketing materials, and preparing mail lists.
  • Coordinate social media marketing
  • Coordinate Crowdfunding Campaigns including: overseeing Graduway platform; drafting copy for campaigns; serving as liaison between departments as needed; establish, track and regularly communicate overall progress of campaigns with all relevant parties; and develop strategies to increase the overall use and effectiveness of crowdfunding.
  • Coordinate Brick Campaign and related appeals to parents in the fall and spring. Manage purchasing of bricks through vendor.
  • Coordinate Student Giving Campaign and related appeals including: ensure that students are receiving information through annual emails and recruit student leaders and volunteers to assist with the campaign.
  • Coordinate Annual Giving Ambassador Campaign throughout the year and during Day of Giving. coordinate materials and provide Ambassador training.
  • Assist the Direct of Annual Giving in the development and implementation of Annual Fund strategies to increase young alumni participation
  • Oversee Annual giving's effective use of Raiser's Edge including closely reviewing weekly income reports and ensuring that all appeals are properly inputted and coded.
  • Oversee the various technology platforms such as Graduway and MailChimp (other platforms TBD) to ensure the Annual Fund is using them effectively.
  • Participate in office events and meetings as necessary and complete other related duties as assigned. Miscellaneous tasks including, but not limited to: staff meetings, ordering supplies, taking inventory of supplies in storage, etc.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Experience preferably in marketing, sales, and/or fundraising. Successful candidate must have computer proficiency and excellent organizational, communication, and human relations skills. Must have the ability to learn new computer applications, work with student populations, and work independently with a high level of motivation. A can-do attitude with tact, discretion and problem resolution skills will be helpful to a person in this position.
  • Previous experience working on fundraising campaigns
  • Excellent administrative and organizational skills, as well as experience in organizing and maintaining records systems.
  • Excellent reading, spelling and grammar skills to assist with Annual Fund appeals
  • Comfortable using and learning new technologies
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience with the Raiser's Edge database system is desirable.
