Missouri Business Alert, within the Missouri School of Journalism,
is seeking a applications for an Account Executive.
Missouri Business Alert is a digital newsroom that published the
top business news from across the state. Missouri Business Alert
keeps business decision makers and entrepreneurs informed about
stories important to them, from corporate boardrooms to the state
Capitol. This startup publication launched in January 2012 and
continues to evolve with an entrepreneurial spirit.
With this entrepreneurial spirit in mind, Missouri Business Alert
is looking to expand its professional team with the addition of an
Account Executive. The Account Executive will take on developing
relationships and partnerships for sponsorships, advertising, and
event sales. The Account Executive will take the lead on managing
the sales goals of Missouri Business Alert and will be highly
collaborative with professional and student staff.
Specific Responsibilities Include
- Managing an account profile of 20-30+ businesses
- Establish and meet monthly sales goals
- Prospecting and selling digital media including developing new
- Mentoring students in Advanced Media Sales and internship
- Attend as work various networking events throughout the
- Attend team/organizational events throughout the year

Base salary will be $35,000 annually. Additionally, this position
will earn uncapped commission based on sales on monthly
GGS Grade: MKT
University Title: ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE

Monday through Friday typically with flexible hours.
40 hours per week.
Associates degree or an equivalent combination of education and
experience and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable
knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.
- Prior experience working in a sales environment
- Ability to create relationships with clients
- Experience networking with a diverse constituency
- Experience with aa Content Management System and ad manager
