Position Purpose

Arrange a classroom to facilitate learning and meet the needs of each child individually.

Serve as a Lead Teacher for a group of children that may range in age from six weeks through ten years, in a child care setting.

Observe, assess, and assemble developmental records on children in their care.

Plan and organize classroom activities/experiences to facilitate and enhance learning for the children in their classroom.

Child Development Associate Credential ( CDA ) – Infant/Toddler or Preschool

Computer Skills

Experience

At least nine (9) months of experience working in a formal child care program setting.

Family Care Safety Registry

Fingerprinting required by licensing BEFORE employment.

Missouri Class E license OPTIONAL or ability to achieve this license for field trips or outings in the university 15 passenger van.

Maintain CPR & First Aid training (initial training within first 90 days of employment); must be pediatric CPR .
