Georgetown College, in the beautiful Bluegrass region of central Kentucky, is seeking applications for Vice President for Advancement. The Vice President reports directly to the President, and serves as the chief advancement officer of the College, directing and supervising a team of advancement professionals. The Vice President for Advancement serves with other senior administrators on the Executive Cabinet in guiding and managing the College in its many dimensions.
Established in 1829, Georgetown College is a distinguished private college in Kentucky, offering primarily undergraduate programs in the liberal arts, sciences, and professions. The Vice President for Advancement shares responsibility with the President and the Board of Trustees for the development of the College’s fundraising plans. The Vice President then bears responsibility for the implementation and management of the comprehensive fundraising program for Georgetown College, building strong relationships with an expanding donor community, including alumni, individual philanthropists, foundations, businesses, and corporations.
The selected candidate is expected to be fully committed to supporting the mission of Georgetown College. The ideal candidate will have exceptional interpersonal skills, outstanding leadership ability, strong managerial skills, and excellent written and oral communication skills. The candidate should have no less than five years of development or related professional experience. -Academic preparation to the master’s level is preferred. The salary will be competitive, and commensurate with credentials and experience.
