RESPONSIBILITIES: Teach a total of two courses (combination of undergraduate and graduate) each fall and spring semester primarily in motor learning and motor development. Write external grant applications, conduct studies as a primary investigator and collaborator, analyze study-generated data, and submit manuscripts as well as professional presentations pertaining to these research activities. To support these responsibilities, laboratory space will be provided. A start-up package will also be included and is negotiable based on needs. An earned doctoral degree in Motor Control or an analogous area of study, with a focus on neural control of movement is required. Post-doctoral training is preferred. Also required is experience with a variety of laboratory techniques contributing to a focused line of motor control research that integrates well with applied biomechanics and applied physiology. Qualified applicants should have a publication record and the ability to effectively write scientific manuscripts and external funding proposals. Effective oral and written communication skills in English are required. Candidate must meet eligibility requirements to begin and continue working in the United States at the time of appointment.
