Position Description
The IT Support Senior Technician has an expert level of technical knowledge and experience in one or more IT-related areas. This position’s scope of responsibility includes providing technical support and assistance to departments, faculty, staff, and students with the use of hardware and some software support and maintenance. The IT Support Senior Technician will also specialize in hardware and software that support institutional strategic initiatives, and manage area or unit IT projects that impact multiple departments or units.

Major/Essential Functions
1. Maintain/update computer and/or audio/video components of SiMCentral.
Make sure all computer and audio/video equipment are maintained and up to date. Issues are to be addressed with Director to ensure all equipment is functioning correctly. Computers are to be updated weekly in accordance with manufactures guidelines.
2. Maintain/update microcomputers and/or simulators/medical equipment of SiMCentral.
Make sure all computer and audio/video equipment are maintained and up to date. Issues are to be addressed with Director to ensure all equipment is functioning correctly. Computers are to be updated weekly in accordance with manufactures guidelines.
3. Assist director with simulation user/community education and awareness and center planning and implementation. Maintain/update SimCentral website and registration system. Assist Director with periodic review and evaluation of the program, assess areas for growth and improvement to meet the needs of the simulation center.
4. Coordinate with staff in the collection, recording, documenting of center data.
Assist with compiling of data generated by center regarding usage and other activities.
5. Assist with preparation, support and maintenance of patient simulators, part-task trainers, and audio-video equipment. Make sure all computer and audio/video equipment are maintained and up to date. Issues are to be addressed with Director to ensure all equipment is functioning correctly. Computers are to be updated weekly in accordance with manufactures guidelines.
6. Assist director in providing recommendations for budget and purchase of equipment, supplies, and materials related to simulation center activities. Participate in periodic review and evaluation of the program, assess areas for growth and improvement to meet the needs of the simulation center.
7. Management of all SimCentral simulation data into software management system, to include scheduling, logistics, scenario template, manikin programming as needed and post event follow up. Employee will input and manage details of SimCentral events into CAE software management system.
8. Management of all SimCentral OSCE and clinical exam data into software management system, to include scheduling, logistics, scenario template, timing sequence for audio and video recordings as needed and post event follow up. Employee will input and manage details of SimCentral events into CAE software management system.
9. Management of all SimCentral evaluation, assessments and emails into software management system.
