Job Summary:
The Admissions Services Clerk position provides clerical support to Central Admissions Operations. Responsibilities include processing, corresponding with inquiries, applicants, and school officials. The Admissions Services Clerk creates and updates records, records and processes documents and correspondence, processes admission decisions and verifies data using multiple University software and systems. Serves as a source of information to the public regarding University programs and policies.
Required Qualifications:
1. High School Diploma or GED required.
2. Completion of commercial courses related to office and business skills, or 2 years of experience in an office environment required.
3. Experience with computerized systems for data management, spreadsheet, word processing and e-mail applications. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to quickly learn new programs and applications.
4. Good human relations and communications skills, including telephone and typing skills.
5. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
6. Strong proofreading skills.
7. Ability to take direction work collaboratively as a team player and be able to work independently.
8. Must be available to work overtime as required, including evenings and weekends.
9. Employment is contingent upon a satisfactory background check. Candidates for hire will be required to sign a waiver authorizing the background check and produce a Social Security Card.
