Job Description Summary
Wentworth Institute of Technology is seeking applicants interested in joining the Wentworth community as an Admissions Counselor .
The Admissions Counselor assists the Office of Undergraduate Admissions in its effort to attract and build relationships with potential students through a variety of related responsibilities. Several of the key responsibilities include engagement in one-on-one contact with prospective students and parents during on and off campus recruitment activities, using phone, email, and direct mail correspondence to communicate with key stakeholders, present information sessions, complete application evaluations, and the processing of admissions documents. The position reports to the Associate Director of Admissions and collaborates with other recruitment and enrollment teams and departments across the institution.

Advertised Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Experience working in an Admissions office.
- Available to work weekends and evenings as needed to participate in recruitment activities.
- Computer skills – proficiency with Microsoft applications
- Track record of being a self-starter with demonstrated ability to take initiative, exercise good judgment and work autonomously.
- Experience with Slate Technolutions is preferred.
- Must have excellent public speaking, written, and verbal skills to support relationship building with prospective students and other constituents.
- Skill and sensitivity to issues of diversity, equity, and inclusion as they affect the college admissions process, a demonstrated commitment to building a strong and diverse applicant pool, and an awareness of how systemic economic and racial inequity in students’ secondary school backgrounds impacts their application to college.
