Manufacturing Specialist
Location: Coeur d’Alene
Division/College: College of Engineering

Pay Range: $85,000 or higher depending on experience
FTE: 1.0

Position Summary:
This position is responsible for establishing and developing relationships with manufacturer owners and leaders to build trust and discover company needs. The position will utilize an enterprise-wide approach to organizational transformation. It will act as a resource and point of contact to N. Idaho economic development partners and work as a member of a multidisciplinary team designed to offer clients access to a wide range of valuable services and resources. The position will provide technical and training assistance to Idaho's small and medium manufacturers to help them improve their profits, products and services. This position will also facilitate the placement of student into internships and co-op positions to increase TechHelp impact in manufacturing firms.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related field. Minimum of five years of experience working in, consulting with, or selling to a manufacturing environment; experience implementing Operational Excellence and continuous improvement manufacturing principles; excellent communication skills; familiarity with personal computer applications including word processing, CRM databases, and spreadsheets
Preferred Qualifications:
Prefer Master’s degree in engineering, business, or related field; experience working as consultant and ability to develop relationships with senior leadership; experience in a supervisory role; experience leading organizations and managing projects that create transformational change; experience with decision making on and implementation of advanced manufacturing technologies.
