The basics of this position:
Performs functions of filing, record keeping, answering phones in department office, monitoring the office area and Music Lab, maintaining lockers and department equipment, preparing music for rehearsals and filing music after concerts, prepare programs, tickets, etc. for concerts, making purchases and entering requisitions, supervising other office staff and other related duties as assigned.
What you'll do:
- Prioritizes and provides skilled typing services to ensure
accurate and timely
completion of all clerical tasks such as correspondence, reports, instructional
materials, and college forms.
Maintains filing system to ensure accurate and complete department records.
EF Orders supplies and maintains inventory.
May greet students, staff and visitors to provide information and ensure delivery of
accurate information and necessary services.
EF Screens phone calls, answering questions or forwarding to appropriate personnel.
May prepare pay documents and forms.
May make appointments for department personnel.
May administer tests.
May use sign language skills in performance of duties.
Uses typewriter, telephone, CRT/PC, copier, calculator.
Performs other job related duties as assigned.
High school diploma or equivalent and relevant general clerical experience. Experience working in a music program preferred. Should possess strong phone and communications skills with the ability to organize.
Experience using Banner system, Excel, Access and Microsoft Word.
