Agnes Scott College invites applications for a part-time faculty position to teach Professional Success in Health and Medicine courses in its Masters in Medical Sciences program and related post-baccalaureate programs. The programs prepare students for medical school and related health professions through a curriculum that includes a two-credit hour professional success in medicine course where students develop the skills, attributes and attitudes necessary to succeed as a healthcare professional. Under the supervision of the clinical professor, students reflect on their current strengths and consider how to use those strengths to excel in the application process, as a learner in a rigorous professional program, and as a healthcare practitioner. Students will become familiar with healthcare delivery in the United States, including the members of the medical team and their roles.

The Professional Success in Medicine and Health courses are offered in summer and fall 2023. Successful applicants may teach one or more courses.

This part-time position will report to the director of the medical sciences program. Competitive candidates will have a terminal degree in a relevant field, experience teaching a diverse student body, and significant experience in healthcare. Successful candidates will have a minimum of a master’s degree and experience teaching a diverse student body in the health sciences.
