Position Summary
New Mexico Highlands University is accepting applications for a nine-month, ½-time position in Clinical Psychology, beginning Fall 2023. Responsibilities include teaching a load of 12 credit hours per academic year, including graduate courses in Introduction to Neuropsychology, Neuropsychological Assessment, Personality Assessment, Practicum, or other assigned courses within the prescribed curriculum. Relevant teaching experience, clinical experience, clinical supervision experience, research experience, and publications will be given favorable consideration.
Duties and Responsibilities
Faculty contractual duties include, but are not limited to:
• Teaching (teaching load of 12 credit hours per academic year);
• May be assigned to teach evening and/or Saturday classes, courses via Zoom, and/or develop and teach online synchronous or asynchronous courses;
• Hold office hours as required;
• Advise students on academic and vocational curricula;
• Serving as second reader for graduate student thesis research;
• Participating in the review of non-thesis track written portfolios and the administration of clinical oral exams;
• Attending psychology department faculty meetings;
• Serving as a liaison to clinical practicum opportunities and supervisors within the community;
• May supervise graduate assistants or work study students;
• Maintain regular attendance;
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
• EDUCATION : Doctorate in Clinical Psychology, or related field ( ABD will be considered). • LICENSURE : New Mexico psychology license required
• EXPERIENCE REQUIRED : Evidence of teaching and research potential.
o Teaching experience
o Clinical supervision experience
o Experience with research and publications;
o Experience with Distance and Technology Education delivery systems.
