Job Description:
The role of the Associate Coordinator in the Fashion Department is to provide administrative support, organizational and managerial leadership to a large office and department staff of four programs. This position works in collaboration with the Chairperson and Assistant Chairs to ensure the efficient functioning of the office, and oversee the management of the staff.
The Associate Coordinator will be responsible to develop and implement digital workflows to streamline and improve productivity. This position supervises administrative support staff, technicians, classroom assistants, determining work hours, overseeing and evaluating staff productivity and performance.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Chairperson in the day-to-day functions and operations of the Fashion Department.
- Develop and implement innovative digital workflow systems to streamline and improve productivity of the department.
- Supervise departmental staff: technicians, lab monitors, locker manager, classroom assistants, seasonal and part time employees, as well as work-study students.
- Responsible for conducting monthly staff meetings to monitor workloads, assign responsibilities and manage the performance of all staff.
- Responsible for all technology needs related to Banner, Brio, Finance Enterprise, and other proprietary data management systems. Ensure that all staff are properly trained on necessary systems.
- Support the Fashion Department in the workflow of new curriculum through Course Leaf, Academic Program Review, Middle States, and NASAD.
- Work with the Office of the Registrar and Records, Office of EMSS, and academic departments to ensure student and enrollment data reports are created and distributed.
- Work with staff, T&P Chairs, and Faculty Services on the tenure and promotion process, including CCE, reappointments, and promotions.
- Manage release time, time requests, hours owed, faculty contact hours, evening and supervisory hours.
- Works in collaboration with the Dean's Office and several units across the college regarding exhibitions, including: Fashion Design AAS, and the Fashion Design BFA.
- Assists with curriculum and programming (course selections, programming changes, waivers, drop/add, creation and cancellation of courses, student registrations, etc.) and implement program changes/additions.
- Coordinate development of budget projections, monitor budget and payroll reports.
- Prepare paperwork to process payments and track outstanding requisitions.
- Assist students as needed with accurate information on courses offered, fashion related inquiries, policy and procedure.
- Ensure Fashion has a current and ongoing web and social medial presence.
- Coordinate local, domestic and international travel as needed

Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required.
- 5+ years' of experience in higher education administration.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent verbal, written and communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously, often under a deadline and in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-starter; can work independently and collaboratively.
- Demonstrated ability to create and implement new initiatives.
- Strong computer skills including expertise in Microsoft Office Suite and G Suite.?
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3 years' of experience in a supervisory capacity.
- Experience working with Banner 9, Finance Enterprise and Brio systems.

Additional Information:
The UCE-FIT Collective Bargaining Agreement
(CBA) dictates the compensation, benefits, and
conditions of employment.
Starting Salary (Prorated): $72,182 per year

Remote Pilot Program
Days/Hours: M-F, 9am-5pm, in person; work schedule subject to
change based on needs of the department.
