The Department of Computing and Information Science (CIS) at Mercyhurst University invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position in Cybersecurity at the level of Assistant Professor to begin August 2023. The department is looking for a passionate teacher who works effectively with others in a collegial environment, and is dedicated to student learning as students in the CIS programs enjoy the personal attention of faculty members in all facets of their education.

The ideal candidate will be able to teach a wide range of undergraduate and graduate courses in cybersecurity and core computing courses. Preference will be given to individuals with expertise in networks security, offensive and defensive cyber operations. In addition to teaching excellence, faculty are expected to engage in scholarly activity and participate in service to the community and institution.  Applicants should have a Ph.D. in Cybersecurity, Computer Science or Engineering, Computer Information Systems, or a closely related discipline from an accredited institution by the start date of the appointment. ABD candidates are encouraged to apply.  The Computing and Information Science department offers Bachelor of Science and Masters of Science degree programs in Data Science and Cybersecurity.
