Overview
The Communication Manager reports to the Director, Organizational Effectiveness & Communication and has shared responsibility for three websites: the Facilities public website, the InsiderFacilities website, and the Construction at Princeton website. The primary focus of this role is to create a comprehensive content strategy that engages all audiences by presenting creative stories gathered from employees and departments, about our projects, our ongoing campus expansion, our accomplishments, our events and news to keep Facilities informed. The Communication Manager works in collaboration with Manager Communication & Business Projects and the Project Communication Manager to educate, inform and engage internal and external populations. The Facilities organization consists of approximately 800 staff that plan, design, construct, maintain and care for the campus buildings and grounds. Facilities is also responsible for the University's Sustainability Plan and Real Estate Development. Facilities is comprised of seven departments: University Architect, Capital Projects, Finance and Administrative Services, Organizational Effectiveness & Communications, Operations, Engineering & Campus Energy, and Sustainability. The division runs on an operating budget of approximately $125 million.
