Landmark College (LC) is a highly entrepreneurial accredited college for neurodivergent students with learning differences (LD; including dyslexia, ADHD, autism, and executive function challenges). We are proud to be an inclusive space for students to gain a postsecondary education in the liberal arts, sciences, and applied fields. Located within the broader tri-state region of Vermont, New Hampshire, and Northwest Massachusetts, our beautiful southern Vermont campus is also within easy driving distance to major cities like Boston and New York. If you aspire to teach in your field while making a difference in the lives of neurodiverse students, Landmark is the right place for you.
Currently we are seeking applications for an assistant professor in digital art to join the Fine and Performing Arts Department in fall 2023. Preferred candidates will be practicing artists who are committed to undergraduate teaching and have an interest in working with neurodiverse students. Opportunities for course design are anticipated. Qualified applicants will have experience teaching courses in digital photography, animation, video, emerging media, and/or other 2D/4D disciplines based on their background and interests.
The successful candidate will contribute to the vision and curriculum for the B.A. in Integrated Arts, which teaches core principles inherent to the performing and studio arts: context, craft, and critique. The Fine and Performing Arts department also supports the development of creative expression for all Landmark College students as part of the general education program.
Assistant professors are expected to be active community members; to engage in scholarly work in their field or in the scholarship of teaching and learning; and to pursue professional development. We are intentionally building a community that is diverse in areas including and not limited to ethnicity, gender, gender identity, national origin, neurodiversity, physical ability, race, and religion.
Qualifications: An MFA is required. Previous teaching experience at the college level is preferred.
Interested candidates should submit a cover letter, résumé, and full contact information for three references (references will not be checked until finalist stage) to the Director of Human Resources: humanresources@landmark.edu. Landmark College is committed to enhancing the diversity of its community in many realms and is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EEO). To find out more please visit us: www.landmark.edu.
