Purpose of Position
The Events & Social Media Coordinator is responsible for the overall project management of the various internal and third-party events held in the Health Innovation Center. The Events & Social Media Coordinator is also responsible for the scheduling and coordination of all events produced by the Institute for Health Innovation ( IHI ), both in the Health Innovation Center and those located off-site, primarily at 112 Pike Street in Covington.

These events range from VIP visits to industry conferences to adult educational programs to K-12 programs to departmental meetings. This position is the main point of contact for third party organizations and vendors in relation to these events. Key responsibilities include ensuring logistical success of the events and providing excellent customer service to all parties using the Health Innovation Center facilities.

In addition to event management responsibilities, the Events & Social Media Coordinator will manage the IHI’s social media outlets including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, as well as manage the IHI’s website and monthly e-newsletter. The Events & Social Media Coordinator will oversee several undergraduate student workers to assist this position in carrying out its responsibilities. Primary Responsibilities
Overall coordination of events held in the Health Innovation Center or through the IHI, including pricing structures, registration, payment, and day-of operations.

Actively recruit customers to use Health Innovation Center event space.

Actively manage social media content, posting, and engagement.

Provide Health Innovation Center tours.

Coordinate and oversee student support staff.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and three years experience required.
