Job Description
Ensure regulatory and compliance with the charitable gift accounting and reporting standards as mandated by the Board of Curators, IRS, executed endowment agreements and other notable oversight entities. Make timely updates to processes to ensure compliance and accuracy with respect to gift processing and biographical processing.

Ensure data integrity and accuracy of gift processing and biographical records input by supervising all associated personnel. Train and mentor staff with respect to gift processing and customer service skills, ensuring excellent service to all internal and external constituents. Prepare campaign reporting as required by university administration.

Serve as a resource and authority to various constituency groups on matters of gift accounting and reporting policies and procedures. Provide advice and assistance to the various departments on gift handling practices, gift acceptance policies and reconciliation of gift revenue. Coordinates workflow across check gifts, securities gifts, and bank wires, among other gift types; monitors backlog and redirects workflow; answers staff questions; helps processors resolve issues.

Reconcile all University Advancement financial accounts to ensure expenditures are recorded properly. Serve as a financial resource in the establishment of Kummer Institute gift recording, receipting and financial recording and reporting.

Periodically perform audits targeted at randomly selected endowed and non-endowed funds to ensure compliance with the terms and conditions of the gift agreement. Review and audit all aspects of biographical records and gift accounting for the University on a regular and rotating schedule.

Supervision Exercised
Supervision of gift processing and biographical records staff.

Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 4 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

Proficient in Microsoft excel and financial reconciliation.

Experience with PeopleSoft and Ellucian Advance software platforms.
