Job Summary

The Graphic Designer for Research Development is responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and producing visual solutions in a wide variety of formats and dissemination outputs for research development services using current graphic design technology and software tools. The Graphic Designer is responsible to work with faculty and staff across multiple schools/colleges and disciplines to achieve their vision for communicating their research efforts, understand how to effectively balance deadlines, and the need to create high quality products.

Essential Functions
  • Conceptualizing, designing, and producing visual solutions in a wide variety of formats and dissemination outputs for research
  • Development services using current graphic design technology and the audience understands the information and message, and deliver consistency within documents
  • Meet regularly with stakeholders, including principal investigators, to determine the scope of a project, create deliverables, and execute on a vision such that all parties are satisfied with results
  • Work with a dynamic team in a fast-paced internal client environment to develop compelling visual communications to support
  • Develop and produce templates for oral presentations and proposal documents, maintains accuracy and technical compliance, as illustrations, scientific figures, and proposal figures
  • Manage creative and proposal project schedules and ensure that final product is delivered on time
  • Develop, produce, and evaluate communications products and materials, including websites, briefings, technical diagrams and models, motion graphics, infographics, posters, fact sheets, and support capture project management tasks in a responsive and adaptive fast-paced work environment of the research development
  • Build client relationships
Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma
  • 3-5 years of experience in Graphic design, Multimedia communications, Marketing or related field
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including PowerPoint,
  • Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Working knowledge of HTML
  • Ability to present a digital portfolio showcasing a range of
  • graphic design competencies
  • Ability and desire to proactively remain current on emerging
  • Knowledge of photography for us in web or print design
  • Working knowledge of CSS and JavaScript
