Job Description:

Helps increase knowledge and workflow efficiency to university constituents; executes assigned videography projects for university special events and lectures; assists in the expansion and enhancement of instructional technologies; supports, maintains, and operates the university’s audio/visual equipment; and generates accurate and timely production reports.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Helps increase knowledge and workflow efficiency to university constituents through individual and ad-hoc audio/visual application support
  • Supports, maintains, and operates the university’s audio/visual equipment [video conferencing through Zoom/Teams, broadcast, presentation, cameras, sound recording, linear and non-linear editing equipment, character generator, Teleprompter, audio board, and video switcher} etc]
  • Provides support by mentoring student assistants, demonstrating operation of equipment, trouble-shooting problems, answering questions, providing guidance, etc.
  • Provides exceptional customer service for all University events and support for on-campus A/V needs
  • Contributes to team effort by performing other duties as needed/assigned
  • Has a working knowledge of: cross-platform computer graphics hardware, graphics and multimedia software. PowerPoint, PC, Apple, and Windows OS skills are essential
  • Understands networking, streaming media, lecture capture support, and digital signage is an expectation
  • Has good communication, organizational skills, and is available for after hours or weekend work, if needed
  • Must be detail oriented and excellent follow-through skills essential
  • Ability to work diplomatically and effectively with all constituents
Qualifications:
  • One year of computer/graphics educational training in the production of audio/visual materials
  • At least two years’ experience in general photography, video production, computer graphics/multimedia, sound systems, projection and recording equipment
  • Two years’ experience in the use of video editing equipment, camera operation, and setup of various multimedia/audiovisual recording equipment preferred
