Position Summary:
Monmouth University is seeking applications for a Director of Brand & Digital Strategy in the University Marketing and Communications department.

The candidate would be expected to serve as a leader working closely with colleagues in University Marketing and Communications, as well as campus partners in enrollment marketing, athletics, academics, arts and others, to ensure a cohesive and strategic approach to promoting the University brand and to assure a high level of coordination across all channels. In addition the candidate will lead the development of organization-wide social media management standards, policies and guidelines for University-affiliated social media accounts

Required Degree, License or Certifications:
Bachelor's degree

Required Skills or Software:
Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills, Basic Knowledge of MS Word 2016, Basic Knowledge of MS Excel 2016

Required Years of Experience: 3

Other Requirements:
Three years of marketing experience, including digital media. Copywriting experience.
Must be a strategic thinker with an attention to detail, and superior organizational, project-management (including managing multiple projects on deadline), time-management, and written and oral communication skillsDemonstrated ability to employ both the newest and established best practices in rapidly developing field of digital mediaDemonstrated understanding of digital analyticsStrong understanding of social media platforms and strategiesExperience using Hootsuite or similar social media management toolWorking understanding of technical requirements to execute digital engagement practices

Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree
Higher education experienceProficiency in Adobe Creative SuiteExperience creating content with Canva, Crello, Easil, or similar design tool(s)Knowledge of video photography and editingAbility to articulate rapidly changing practices and strategies to internal audiences who may not have strong backgrounds in the space
