Description of Duties

The State University of New York at Canton invites qualified applicants for a full-time lecturer position within the Canino School of Engineering Technology.

The successful candidate can expect to teach online and face-to-face classes in a 5-course load per semester. There is no scholarship expectation of the successful candidate. Participation in faculty governance, department, university, professional, and public service is encouraged. Faculty members should have good verbal and written communication skills, and innovation is encouraged. The ability to teach a diverse student population is an additional benefit.

Responsibilities

Candidate should demonstrate teaching experience for many years from developmental mathematics up to Calculus I and Statistics, with a strong emphasis on applied math.

Online teaching experience is welcomed.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications : Bachelor of Arts or Science in Mathematics

Preferred Qualifications: Master’s Degree in Mathematics or Math Education

Prior to a final offer of employment, the selected candidate will be required to submit to a background check including, but not limited to, employment verification, educational and other credential verification, and criminal background check.
