Job Description
Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University’s Prescott, Arizona campus is hiring an Admissions Counselor/Territory Manager to support the Admissions/Enrollment Management team. Embry-Riddle's Prescott Campus is respected worldwide for cutting-edge instruction and training for tomorrow’s aviation, aerospace, security and intelligence leaders. Prescott is a mile-high city and its climate reflects seasonable weather excellent for flying. Daytime averages are 80°F in the summer and 45°F in the winter. At 5,000 ft. above sea level, it boasts a mild climate, clean air, pristine wilderness areas, and nearby national forests. The university is a small, private, residential university in the mountains of Arizona with approximately 3,500 students. Staff/faculty/student interaction is highly valued and is a central theme of our campus. It is located 100 miles north of Phoenix and 120 miles south of the Grand Canyon.
Job Summary:
Responsible for managing all phases of the admissions, recruitment and enrollment functions within an assigned geographic market. Will be required, with supplemental support, to meet an enrollment object to achieve targeted enrollment goals for the campus and the university.
Manage the assigned regional territory by adhering to the Admissions Standard Operating Procedures including:
Create and implement a territory specific recruitment plan to meet targeted enrollment goals
Remain current on University degree programs, national admissions standards and policies, financial aid, status of campus and facilities. Possess and maintain current knowledge of aviation, aerospace and security industry and trends.
Assist with minimal supervision of Admissions Office student employees.
Other duties as assigned.

Must possess excellent written and verbal communications skills; positively interacts with the public by using good public relations skills; effective listening skills; maintains excellent working relationships with others; self-motivated; and self-assured. Must be able to see projects through to successful completion. Must be willing to travel extensively (8-10 weeks per academic year), plus, work evenings, weekends and holidays, when necessary; possess a valid driver’s license with a good driving record. Support co-workers in their assigned territories, as needed, to include but not limited to travel and presentations. Must possess leadership skills and have the knowledge and style to provide guidance and be an example for the other Territory Managers. Analytical skills with an in depth knowledge of information systems and technical expertise with Microsoft operating systems, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook/email, and Internet end-user applications.

- Prospect, applicant, admit and matriculate management that provides continual written, electronic and telephone communication to students, which generates interest, encourages them to apply, assists them in the admissions process, etc.
- Review and approve applications for admission to the University, and recommend admissions decisions to the Director
- Sign up for college fairs, arrange meetings at high schools with prospective students, secure venue locations for admissions meetings in designated geographic market
- Manage all aspects of recruitment travel in assigned territory
- Evaluate recruitment travel on an ongoing and year-to-year basis for opportunities of improvement, cost savings and strategic plan growth
Create and implement a territory specific recruitment plan to meet targeted enrollment goals
Remain current on University degree programs, national admissions standards and policies, financial aid, status of campus and facilities. Possess and maintain current knowledge of aviation, aerospace and security industry and trends.
Assist with minimal supervision of Admissions Office student employees.
