Salary Basis: 12 month

Responsibilities:

• Counsels and advises students and families about financial aid eligibility, application procedures, costs, and etc.
• Oversees the daily processing of files including: entrance/exit counseling, PLUS loan applications, loan increase/decrease requests, and alternative loan certifications.)
• Processes C-flags pertaining to loan default, bankruptcy, maximum loan limits, and other notices hindering the automatic awarding of a student's aid.
• Completes monthly reconciliation for loan portfolio.
• Assists in loan default management and prevention program.
• Conducts all electronic communication notices to borrowers regarding loan awards.
• Reviews student applications for accuracy and to determine financial need and award aid in accordance with applicable federal, state and institutional policies and regulations.
• Ensures compliance with all financial aid policies, procedures, and regulations when reviewing financial aid applications.
• Conducts financial aid presentations, which may include travel or after-hours seminars.
• Maintains confidentiality in all pertinent matters.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required.

Strong communication, organizational, and time managements skills are required.

Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office is needed.Experience in financial aid office or higher education setting
Knowledge of Ellucian Banner software
Ability to work independently and efficiently
Attention to detail

Salary:
12 monthCommensurate with experience, qualifications, and university’s resources.
