Primary Purpose of Position:
The Clinical Instructor/Director of Cybersecurity will be the technical liaison between the companies, government agencies and the North Carolina Center Partnership with the Center of Academic Excellence(CAE) designated by the National Security Agency. The position will exist within the School of Business and will report to the Department Chair, with close contact with the Dean regarding external relationships. Oversee Cybersecurity Lab Management.

Minimum Education/Experience:
Master’s Degree, Minimum of five years’ post-secondary education and/or relevant work
experience in Cybersecurity.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Proven experience with assessment, development, implementation, optimization, and
documentation of a comprehensive and broad set of security technologies and
processes.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to partner and
collaborate with security professionals, faculty members, corporate sponsors, students
and university on security technologies and processes
Strong work ethic and ability to work independently and within diverse teams.
Knowledge of Computer Network Defense (CND) policies, procedures, and regulations.
Knowledge of defense-in-depth principles and network security architecture; database
management and implementation; asset management practices and principles;
hardware and software provisioning practices; authentication and access management
technologies.
Desired Qualifications:
Preferred security certifications CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CCSP, CCNA Security,
CCNP, GNFA, GSEC, GSE.
Experience with the NIST Cybersecurity Framework, FedRAMP.
Demonstrable experience and capabilities designing and configuring in AWS and Azure.
Intermediate level knowledge of networking, information systems, security controls, and
information security concepts.
Knowledge of troubleshooting, log analysis, event correlation, and data analysis with a
strong understanding of TCP/IP and networking.
Experience or familiarity with Firewall/NGFW deployed in a variety of form factors;
Private and Public IaaS Architecture; Load Balancing, Web Application FW,
authentication, access management and single sign-on solutions and an understanding
of STIGs and CIS Benchmarks.
Experience or knowledge of specific SaaS services such as Office365 and ITIL services
framework and structured project management approaches
