English Instructor

The Xidian University-Virginia Tech Undergraduate Joint Education Program in Big Data Management and Application is a partnership between Xidian University (XDU) and Virginia Tech (VT). The goal is to train future leaders — particularly management students interested in applying big data technology to entrepreneurship, innovation, and technology — to work cooperatively to lead world-class entrepreneurial ventures. The XDU-VT Undergraduate Joint Program in Big Data Management and Application is seeking an English instructor to teach on the campus of Xidian University in Xi'an, China, for the Spring (March-May) semester and Fall (November-December) semester. This position is part of the XDU-V Joint Education Program. This position will be permanently located in Xi'an, Shanxi, China.  

Duties: 

Ten weeks/semester

Tech "English 1106 – First Year Writing" courses for undergraduate students

Tech two cohorts (each cohort has 45 undergraduate students).

Qualifications: 

Master's degree required

At least two years of teaching experience required

English as a native language
