    Position Summary

    The Lundquist College of Business Admissions Office is seeking an Assistant Director of Graduate Recruitment to, under the direction of the Executive Director of Admissions, interface with potential students through the selection and admission process of the program. This position holds the following major responsibilities: develop and generate student leads for Lundquist graduate programs through various venues (including face to face, phone, online, and on and off-campus events) and provide counseling on program attributes.

    The Assistant Director of Graduate Recruitment will participate in the admission and application process by conducting interviews and reviewing application materials. They will have a thorough understanding of the admission requirements in order to render an admission decision and/or scholarship award. The Assistant Director of Graduate Recruitment will have the responsibility to monitor application progress from start to completion and to assist in identifying and resolving issues along the way. They will review and evaluate data throughout the admission process to provide weekly, monthly, and yearly reporting. They will be responsible for conducting meetings with key stakeholders, coordinating and assisting in the creation of communications to new student leads, prospective students, and admitted students, and resolving problems as needed.

    Lundquist Admissions is seeking to hire up to three Assistant Director of Graduate Recruitment with a combination of in-person and remote positions available in Eugene (in-person with hybrid options) or in Portland (remote) and the States of Washington and California (remote).

    Typical office hours for program staff are 8 am-5 pm (PST); however, depending on the location of the successful candidate, core hours could vary, and are flexible to meet with students when/where they are available. Lundquist College of Business graduate programs attracts inquiries nationwide and internationally. Travel to Eugene on a monthly/bi-monthly basis will be required as well as travel to recruitment events as necessary.

    Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 3 years of recruitment, admission, or sales experience and events, including event facilitation.

    Professional Competencies

  • Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate effectively with prospective students from a variety of backgrounds.
  • Excellent public speaking and presentation skills (including designing promotional presentation materials and giving public presentations).
  • Knowledge of international student perspectives and needs.

    Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in recruitment/admissions at a college or university level.
  • Demonstrated experience planning and directing promotion activities.
  • Demonstrated experience using technology for creating reports to make decisions, preparing communications, record keeping, and management of data.
