Vice President (Academic) 

 

Reporting to the President of EdUHK, the Vice President (Academic), assisted by Associate Vice Presidents and Faculty Deans, will assume the overall responsibility for strategic planning, development, implementation, quality assurance and enhancement of all academic programmes in line with the vision and mission of the EdUHK.  The appointee will also provide leadership to the overall enhancement and strategy of the EdUHK’s academic enterprise in Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area; as well as establish and maintain local, regional, national and international networks and collaborations for furthering the academic excellence of the EdUHK. 

The ideal candidate should have a proven record of substantial contributions and outstanding academic achievements with scholarship of international standing.  He/She should also possess extensive leadership experience in a senior academic position; strong interpersonal, presentation and communication skills; a sound knowledge of local higher education sector and Asian education context; an ability to communicate effectively in English and preferably Chinese (Cantonese and/or Putonghua); preferred experiences of leading initiatives related to education and social innovation; and excellent judgement and decision-making abilities, including strong problem identification and problem resolution skills.  

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Remuneration package will be highly competitive and attractive fringe benefits will be offered.
