Faculty Position - Undergraduate Psychology
Position Description:

Traditional Undergraduate Psychology seeks applications for a full-time faculty member to teach a variety of clinically-focused courses in the psychology major, including Abnormal Psychology, Counseling Methods, Psychology and Christianity, and elective courses related to the applicant's area of clinical specialty. Vanguard seeks professionals of Christian faith who are committed to integration of faith and learning in their respective fields. Applicants must have demonstrated teaching ability and a commitment to working with and encouraging diversity. Applications are being accepted through February 10, 2023; positions begin August 2023.
Essential Functions:

• Teach undergraduate psychology courses as assigned. An overview of requirements for the psychology major can be found here: https://catalog.vanguard.edu/sobe/undergraduate/psychology/psychology-ba/
• Participate in general faculty roles including advising and committee service.
• Collaborate with department faculty regarding curriculum implementation, student retention and support, and continuous program improvement.

Minimum Qualifications:

• A Doctorate in psychology or related field is preferred. Candidates with Master's Degree or Master's Degree plus clinical licensure will be considered.
• Successful undergraduate teaching experience.
• Online teaching experience preferred.
• Commitment to thoughtfully integrating culturally diverse perspectives and fostering an inclusive environment.
• Teamwork, collaboration, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Possess a vibrant Christian faith, and commitment to an academically rigorous integration of faith and learning.

Salary:

Assistant Professor: $58,242 to $78,336

Associate Professor: $67,932 to $91,494

Professor: $78,846 to $109,548

Placement at appropriate rank (e.g., Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor) and initial salary is dependent upon education, experience, and based on Vanguard's faculty compensation schedule. The upper range is reserved for candidates that demonstrate the highest level of proficiency within a particular rank.
