About the Opportunity: The Finance Group of the D'Amore-McKim School of Business at Northeastern University invites applications for an open rank non-tenure track position, with employment beginning immediately. This is a full-time, benefits-eligible position with teaching, research, and administrative responsibilities.
About the D'Amore-McKim School of Business: The D'Amore-McKim School of Business offers a unique model of business education that purposely blends innovative classroom learning with real-world business application. Its students explore cutting-edge theory with professors, fusing knowledge with learning experiences that include cooperative education or corporate residency, study abroad, and community service.

Similarly, the school's resulting connections with the corporate world influence its research agendas, which, in turn, shape innovative new business practice. This synergy enables D'Amore-McKim students to become successful business leaders who are both thinkers and doers, and thus highly qualified to think critically and leave their mark on the global business world.

Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will teach courses at the graduate and undergraduate levels in the areas of finance and Fintech; participate in service to the group, D'Amore-McKim School of Business, Northeastern University, and discipline; and develop an appropriate independent research program necessary to achieve and maintain AACSB qualification a Scholarly Academic.

The successful candidate will also serve as the Assistant Director of the Fintech Initiative. The Fintech Initiative at Northeastern University is focused on curriculum, student organizations, and industry collaborations that educate and expose students to Fintech. The Assistant Director role entails the following responsibilities:
  • Work closely with the Fintech Faculty Director in various roles, including coordinating student group and other event calendars, ensuring that curriculum is current, and discussing new classes and new programming.
  • Develop and manage external relationships with industry partners, including corporations, trade groups, potential employers, and Mass Fintech Hub.
  • Help develop and maintain the Fintech Initiative website.
  • Stay informed about Fintech-related conferences, seminars, and events.
  • Drive communications strategy within Northeastern University as well as with the greater Finance/Fintech community.


Qualifications:

Candidates must have a doctorate in finance or a closely related field by the appointment start date. Candidates must be committed to excellence in teaching and research and must also have experience and expertise in Fintech.
