Purpose of Job
  • The ideal candidate will teach coursework in the welding technology program which is a 12-month certificate program.
  • Support curriculum and provide training and student support to produce graduates who meet entry-level employment criteria for positions in welding.
  • Prepare students to pass certification tests required in the profession

Education Requirements
Associate Degree in related field
American Welding Certification (AWS) required

Experience Requirements
Minimum five years of experience in industry using brazing and a variety of arc and gas welding equipment.
Prior experience conducting certification tests for qualifications of personnel with national code requirements a plus.

Work Schedule
Adjunct – Hours will vary based on course(s) being taught (DAYLIGHT and NIGHT-TIMEHOURS NEEDED) 7:00am to 9:30pm timeframe

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Equipment used includes desktop or laptop with Microsoft Windows environment, calculator, phone, and other general office equipment
Interface with internal and external contacts as needed to carry out the functions of the position
Work generally performed in a climate-controlled office with minimal exposure to safety hazards
