Purpose of Job
Perform HVAC and Electrical maintenance duties on campus to help create a positive learning and work environment.

Education Requirements
  • Universal EPA certification required
  • Associate Degree or certificate in related field preferred
Experience Requirements
  • Four+ years of full-time work experience in a related field preferred
  • Senior level expertise in one maintenance area strongly preferred
  • Must have working knowledge of commercial refrigeration and heating systems.
  • Ability to diagnose and repair commercial/residential multi-zone heating and cooling systems, HVAC equipment with split/package units, heat pumps and boilers.
  • Must be comfortable working with Low and high voltage (277,110) equipment, transformers, switchgear. Must follow compliance with all Nation Codes, OSHA safety procedures, policies, and regulations.
  • Ability to work under general supervision and complete assignments in a responsible and timely manner. Must keep accurate documentation of equipment, materials, workload, and activities and adhere to a preventive maintenance program schedule.
  • Ability to work on several projects simultaneously, prioritize work as required, and communicate workload status to the Director of Facilities
  • Must be able to perform maintenance repairs and record work request completed.
  • Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft computer for compiling data and work records.
  • Must perform overtime for special projects, student breaks and during winter months for snow removal.
  • Must work on an emergency rotating call schedule monthly.
  • Contribute to PTC's overall success by performing additional duties as needed.

  • Must pass criminal and motor vehicle background check prior to starting position.

  • Must wear hard bottom work boots and uniform.

Work Schedule
Full-time – 40 hours per week – 7:00 A.M. – 5:00 P.M.
(8-hour workday between these hours, also including ½ hour unpaid lunch period).

Working Conditions:
Equipment used includes desktop or laptop with Microsoft Windows environment, calculator, phone, and other general office equipment
Interface with internal and external contacts as needed to carry out the functions of the position
Work generally performed in a climate-controlled area with minimal exposure to safety hazards

Ability to perform work orders and assignments in timely manner and up to required standards, Good organizational and communication skills required, Positive attitude with a willing spirit required
