Job Description
The potential candidate will conduct research in the realm of hurricane modelling with cutting-edge data analytics methodology under the climate change scenario. The successful candidate will be working with a vibrant team of researchers to solve the challenges brought by hazardous hurricanes to the infrastructure, society, and people. Through better understanding and predicting the hurricane occurrence, the research team aims to help improving the resilience of infrastructure, business, society, and people. This project will utilize fundamental performance-based wind engineering, statistics and cutting-edge data analytical techniques to create physics-driven and data-driven approaches for hurricane risk modelling.

Minimum Qualifications

PhD. in Mechanical or Civil Engineering or related field.

Preferred Qualifications

Research experience and strong background in wind engineering, catastrophe risk modeling and data science are highly desirable.
