The School of Interdisciplinary Forensics (pending ABOR and faculty governance approvals), in the New College of Interdisciplinary Arts and Sciences at Arizona State University invites applications for a full-time, benefits-eligible Teaching Assistant Professor position in Forensic Science. This position will begin in August 2023. Successful candidates are expected to deliver quality undergraduate instruction in Forensic Science and associated courses, and to contribute service to the school, college, university and the profession.

Essential Functions of the Position:
The individual filling this position is expected to deliver quality instruction in Forensic Science and related fields; and to contribute service to the school, college, university and the profession. The successful candidate must be prepared to advance the ASU Charter while embedded in the truly interdisciplinary and innovative environment of ASU New College and the West Valley. Additionally, all successful candidates are expected to advance:

- Ph.D. in Forensic Science or related fields, by the time of appointment.
- Evidence of potential to complement the current expertise in Forensic Science and other areas of research in the School of Mathematical and Natural Sciences. Relevant teaching experience. Evidence of the mathematical expertise to teach core undergraduate courses in the Forensic Science BS programs (immersion and online) and potentially the Forensic Science Professional Science Master’s Program. Evidence of successful college/university teaching and course development experience. Interest in supporting interdisciplinary research programs. Practice and interest in mentoring undergraduate students and including them in research. Demonstrated record of working successfully with a diverse student population, including first-generation college students.
