The Penny W. Stamps School of Art & Design at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, invites applications for a tenure/tenure-track (assistant/associate/full) professor position in art and design, open to any medium or discipline. We are looking for candidates engaged in experimental and innovative art, design, and/or community practices with at least one area of expertise working in 2D, 3D, or 4D. You should have an active track record as a creative maker in those area(s) and a strong understanding of the discourse in contemporary art and/or design, allowing you to teach both in our undergraduate and graduate programs. Special consideration will be given to applicants who are open to collaborative/interdisciplinary teaching, research, and creative projects within the Stamps School, with other academic units, or with the community beyond.
