The Department of International Studies at the American University of Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates seeks to hire a part-time adjunct or a full-time visiting position in Philosophy starting on January 23, 2023. Candidates must be able to teach a range of introductory courses as well as upper-level undergraduate courses in their fields.

Successful candidates will have a Ph.D. in Philosophy at the time of appointment, a record of excellent teaching, an active research agenda, and be willing and able to move to the UAE by Janaury 16th of 2023. The regular teaching load is 3 courses per semester.

As a university formed on the American model and with English as the language of instruction, the American University of Sharjah will give priority to candidates who have substantial experience in American models of higher education.
