UGA Foundation:

The University of Georgia Foundation (“Foundation”) is committed to supporting the university’s mission through fiduciary care of donated assets and financial support of the university’s teaching, research, and public service programs. The foundation was established in 1937 and enriches the quality of education at the university by supporting scholarships, endowed chairs and professorships and other programs that rely on private funds.

Incorporated as a public foundation in support of the University of Georgia, the UGA Foundation’s ability to function effectively relies on the Board of Trustees. After years of service and terming out a board member, a trustee can be elected to become an Emeriti Trustees. With over 120 Emeriti Trustees, this program’s ability to function effectively relies on the Assistant Director of Board Relations’ diligence and consistency in guiding and structuring board programs, meetings, and events, and in carrying the organization’s narrative through a consistent increase in board membership and change in leadership.
