This position is a temporary, full-time position through the end of the current fiscal year, June 30, 2023.

JOB PURPOSE: The Administrative Assistant, College Events is the first point of contact for the College Events office, working with an integrated team committed to delivering high-quality events, conferences and programming to the College’s internal and external audiences. This position provides primary administrative and clerical services for the College Events team and supports a portfolio of revenue-generating activities. The Administrative Assistant works collaboratively with colleagues to serve internal and external clients, delivering outstanding customer service while advancing the goals of the department.

QUALIFICATIONS:  Education/Licenses/Certificates: High School Diploma or GED is required, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Associate’s degree in the areas of Communications, Business, Marketing, or two or more years of college or equivalent experience is preferred. A valid driver’s license is required or equivalent means of reliable transportation to off-site meetings and events.  Experience: A minimum of 2 years of proven administrative/clerical/customer service experience in the areas of hospitality, event management or marketing/sales. 1 year of experience at an academic institution is preferred.  Bi-lingual Spanish speaking, reading, and writing is highly desired.

REQUIRED HOURS: The regular hours for this temporary full-time position are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday – Friday. Overtime, weekend and evening work hours may be required. Regular hours may vary due to needs of the College or division.
