Assistant Professor of Computer Science

Pittsburg State University is accepting applications for a tenure earning Assistant Professor of Computer Science. 

Teaching responsibilities will include undergraduate courses in Computer Science with a twelve-hour-per-semester load fall and spring semesters.  Additional expectations include advising students, active involvement in professional organizations, service to the university, college and community, and commitment to student success.

A PhD in Computer Science or a closely related field from an accredited institution of higher learning is expected at time of appointment.  ABD or MS with additional graduate coursework and certificates/experience considered.

Applicants should have a strong commitment to teaching along with the ability and desire to develop a scholarly research program commensurate with the teaching load and expectations of the department.  Additionally, applicants should have a willingness to develop courses as needed for the newly established Computer Science curriculum is essential.
