JOB SUMMARY:
The Director of Inclusive Excellence will serve the college by providing visionary leadership for strategic inclusion and equity initiatives in support of undergraduate and graduate students, staff, and faculty in the College of Education. The director will report to the Dean and serve as a key member on the college's leadership team. Successful candidates will have demonstrable experience with DEI work, a deep understanding of intercultural communication, and knowledge of theory and practice that informs inclusive excellence work. The director will perform other duties as assigned by their supervisor.
JOB DUTIES:
35% - Essential - Leadership & DEI Program Management
Develops and manages implementation of College DEI program. Monitors trends and advancements in organizational development and DEI and determines evidence based actionable solutions to improve DEI efforts within the College.
25% - Essential - Organizational Culture
Ensures a culture of inclusion through clear communication channels, remediation of inequitable policies and procedures, and advancement of an inclusive learning organization which encourages ongoing employee development.
25% - Essential - Outreach, Recruitment, and Retention
Promote the hire and retention of underrepresented and minoritized students, staff and faculty through oversight of search committee diversity plans, coordination of outreach, and implementation of recruitment and retention initiatives within the CoE Inclusive Excellence Strategic Plan.
15% - Essential - Data Analysis and Reporting
Prepares and executes annual DEI reports and strategic plan updates, interprets and analyzes trends in enrollment, promotion, graduation, and attrition to improve equitable access and outcomes in the College, and defines and tracks key performance indicators related to DEI.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education - Bachelor's Degree and 3+ years of DEI related leadership experience; Project management experience
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
Education- Master's or Terminal Degree; Project management certification
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Firm Job Knowledge - Firm working knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures and ability to use in varied situations
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervises Work of Others - Supervises work of others and may offer recommendations for hiring, termination and pay adjustments but does not have responsibility for making these decisions.
BUDGETARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides Budget Input - Provides input into the budgeting process, and oversees fund allocation.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Education- Master's or Terminal Degree; Project management certification
