Job Summary

The Coordinator, Career Services primary focus is to assure services are scheduled and implemented across all areas including:
  • Core career services
  • Pre-professional programs
  • Internships and apprenticeships

This position functions as the point of contact for students and is responsible for making sure all stakeholders are guided to the appropriate staff.

Essential Job Functions
  • Assess the service needs of student and connect them with the appropriate resource
  • Assists the students register and navigate in Handshake with vetted resume uploaded
  • Coordinates and monitors the Workstudy/Student Interns hiring and work processes
  • Create and maintain a directory of career service providers and resources
  • Create and maintain a database of students, students needs, employers, and resources
  • Assess students issues and provide recommendations/referrals to appropriate resource
  • Ensure each client is given the necessary services and follow up to fill ongoing service needs
  • Maintain good relationships with career service providers, faculty and students
  • Assists with coordinating all career and professional development programming
  • Maintains, processes and coordinates procurement receipts and purchase orders
  • Answer telephones and respond to email inquiries in the office

Other Duties
May supervise the day-to-day functions of student interns
Other related duties as assigned by the supervisor

Qualifications

Education
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Social Services or related field.

Experience
1-3 years of experience in customer service, administrative or office experience preferred.

Licensing and Certifications

None.
