Description
Game Engine Adjunct position qualifications:
Husson's Extended Reality program is currently searching for a professional in the area of game engines design and development to teach adjunct classes within the School of Technology and Innovation with the following outcomes for students.
· Students will demonstrate the ability to block a level in the Unreal engine
· Students will demonstrate the ability to prepare node-based "blueprints" for interaction
· Students will demonstrate knowledge of materials including diffuse, mask, and normal
· Students will demonstrate knowledge of lighting concepts.
· Students will demonstrate the ability to create blueprint animation.
· Students will demonstrate the ability to effectively use particle systems.
· Students will demonstrate the ability to construct landscapes within the game engine.
Examples of Duties
· Proficiency with design and development primarily within Unreal game engine and basic knowledge of Unity game engine.
· Knowledge of level development, material integration, Blueprints, lighting, particle systems, and landscapes.
· Aptitude for breaking down complex steps in a way that beginner students can understand.
· Inspecting students' work and assigning a grade based on completion of requirements.
· Assisting students individually as needed
· Development of lectures and or videos that describe and demonstrate game engine development techniques.
· Background knowledge of Unreal virtual production (in-camera VFX) is a plus.
Software for game engine adjunct:
· Unreal (highly proficient)
· Unity (basic knowledge)
· Adobe Photoshop
Typical Qualifications
Qualifications
· Master's degree or MFA in related field preferred
· Industry experience is highly valuable
