Office of Research & Innovation: The Assistant/Associate Director of Research Ethics & Integrity (two positions) performs a variety of routine and non-routine functions related to administrative tasks of assisting with the daily office operations for the Research Ethics & Integrity program (REI).

The Assistant Director will manage and update the REI website; distribute application materials to committee members and processes researcher responses and all committee correspondence. Assists the committee chairs in the scheduling of and preparing materials for meetings and producing minutes; assist in maintaining the compliance database to include required periodic review of protocols; respond to routine and non-routine questions regarding processes and applications; maintain working knowledge through continuing education for current regulations and issues of ethics by attending workshops, national conferences, and online/ electronically distributed materials.

The Associate Director will manage the review process and evaluate applications for concordance with federal regulation requirements. Distributes application materials to committee members and processes researcher responses and all committee correspondence. Assists the committee chairs in preparing materials for meetings and producing minutes; review and evaluate protocols; assist in maintaining the compliance database to include required periodic review of protocols; conduct reviews for Grant- Protocol concordance in methods as required for some funding agencies; conduct training sessions. Responds to routine and non- routine questions regarding processes and applications; maintains working knowledge through continuing education for current regulations and issues of ethics by attending workshops, national conferences, and online/ electronically distributed materials.

Required: For appointment as an Assistant Director a bachelor's degree or higher is required. For appointment as an Associate Director, candidates will have a bachelor's degree or higher and 3 years of relevant, professional experience. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States on a fulltime and indefinite basis.
