The Marketing Director of The Teachers College serves as a member of the Marketing + Communication team as a marketing and communication leader for the faculty and staff of The Teachers College. Reporting to the Director of Marketing, the Marketing Director of The Teachers College works closely with the Dean of The Teachers College.  

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Develop a deep working knowledge of all aspects of The Teachers College. Develop goals, objectives and targets that align with ONE ESU vision and advance strategic objectives including enrollment growth (undergraduate, graduate, international), student retention, community relations, advancement, athletics and ESU brand + identity. In close collaboration with fellow Marketing + Communications team members as well as TTC Dean, develop and manage the following: messaging; enrollment growth; promotion of events; initiatives; and marketing strategies across all TTC departments that advance TTC goals, objectives and targets. In close partnership with TTC Dean, faculty and fellow Marketing + Communication team members, identify opportunities to raise the profile of ESU by capturing, promoting and earning media coverage through faculty and student stories, key events, initiatives and activities (i.e. National Teacher Week, Athletic Training, Laps for Landon, Art Therapy Day, etc.). Develop and maintain strong working relationships with TTC Dean and faculty, meet monthly to determine needs, identify opportunities and report status on ongoing projects and enrollment to advance university and TTC strategic objectives.   Ensure TTC web presence is up to date, in alignment with web standards and style guide and develop web content in alignment with SEO objectives and guidelines. Contribute to foundation and alumni strategic objectives including communication, engagement, donor relations and development by collecting TTC information, writing stories and developing alumni messages/newsletters in alignment with ONE ESU vision.  Manage and execute comprehensive TTC social media strategy in alignment with university direction and SEO objectives. Lead, manage and ensure adherence to, and flawless execution of, the ESU brand at every opportunity. Maintains office within TTC three days per week and two days per week in Marketing + Communication to serve as the liaison with TTC for communications, marketing and enrollment initiatives.
  • Use data and trends to inform, adjust and evolve all campaigns and deliverables. Identify and recommend new ways to promote university offerings and increase engagement. Positively and regularly collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to establish and/or support marketing objectives, complete tasks and identify and solve problems. Be a positive contributor with fellow marketing team members on various activations, brainstorms and content ideation. Measure, provide insights and deliver regular actionable reports.

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing or related field plus at least 3 years of relevant experience. A Master’s degree in Communications, Marketing or related field may substitute for a portion of the required experience.

Compensation:

 

  • $45,000-$50,000 with comprehensive benefits package.
