Position Overview

Primary Purpose of the Position

The Department of English is seeking a pool of candidates for temporary Adjunct Faculty positions for the 2022-2023 academic year. Candidates should be able to teach Thinking and Writing Critically About Literature, Black Speculative Fiction and/or World Literature I beginning in August 2022. In addition, candidates must be willing to teach assigned classes, hold office hours, and adhere to department and university policies.

Primary Function of Organizational Unit

The Department of English offers an undergraduate degree in English and minor programs in Dramatic Arts, English, and African American Literature. Our innovative academic programs prepare students to assume leading roles in society, industry, and the academy.

  • Master’s Degree or higher, with a minimum of 18 graduate hours in English from a four-year regionally accredited institution.
  • One or more years of experience teaching literature to undergraduate students in face-to-face and online environments.
