Events Manager & Driver

  • Randolph-Macon College, a private, co-educational liberal arts institution, invites applications for a temporary, part-time Event Manager and Driver in our Student Affairs Division beginning in January 2023 through May 2023.

    Reporting to the Director of Student Life, the Event Manager and Driver will enjoy working with students and will promote student engagement and safety while managing the Club 1830 series of events on Saturdays. Additionally, the successful candidate will be responsible for the transportation of students on weekly Student Engagement Center (SEC) Road Trips and R-MC Adventure Trips to various points of interest in Ashland and the Richmond Metro Area. Hours will vary although availability is required on Friday night and Saturday during the day for events and trips. In general, Club 1830 events are Friday from 10:00pm – 1:30am and SEC Road Trips and R-MC Adventure are Saturday from 10:00am – 3:00pm.

    Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A valid Driver’s License is required, and a CDL is preferred
  • A clean driving record and ability to meet federal and state driving standards.
  • Experience with professional driving and basic vehicle maintenance preferred.
  • Self-starter with excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Able to exercise judgment and operate under time pressure
  • Must be in physical condition to sit for extended periods bend, reach, climb stairs, grasp and assist students with boarding and exiting the vehicle as necessary.
