Position Summary
A unit of the Information Technology Division, the mission of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Systems is to provide vision, leadership, strategies, and services in support of the success of students, faculty, staff and administration; and contributes to the overall strategic objectives of the university and the Information Technology Division. ERP Systems provides stewardship over a complex technology infrastructure of systems and databases critical to the university's mission and operation, including student information, financial aid, financials, and human resources.
ERP Systems provides stewardship over an innovative suite of systems and tools in support of the academic mission of the university, including student admissions, enrollment, registration, and student records as well as human resources, financials, and document workflow and imaging. ERP Systems provides resources and services to ensure the collection, storage, management, and accessibility of student, human resource, and financial information is accurate and timely to help facilitate the success of students, faculty, staff, and administration.
Under direction of the manager, this position provides application and workflow business needs analysis, solution development, application system administration and security, and support of SDSU's Hyland OnBase electronic digital imaging and content management system. Using OnBase features such as document storage, Unity forms, Reporting Dashboards, Workflow, and WorkView apps, this position works collaboratively and responsibly with customers to do full development lifecycle activities such as requirements gathering and analysis, design, build, testing/training, rollout plans to customers and considerations of change management, and migration to production within OnBase and any other “source” systems that OnBase consumes data from such as the Student, HR, or Finance systems. Consideration of user experience - whether for users in an operations area that use OnBase every day or the casual users that do reviews and approvals occasionally - is a critical aspect of this position.
This position provides key support for the document archival and workflow needs of numerous campus departments, including the installation and configuration of scanners and document templates.

This is a full-time (1.0 time-base), benefits eligible, permanent/probationary position. This position is designated exempt under FLSA and is not eligible for overtime compensation. Standard SDSU work hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., but may vary based on operational needs. The individual hired into this role will work on campus at SDSU in San Diego.
This position is approved for partial telecommuting with onsite work in San Diego. This position is scheduled to work three days on campus and two days from the telecommuting site. However, the schedule may vary based on operational needs.
Education and Experience
To enter this classification, a basic foundation of knowledge and skills in applications programming and systems analysis and related programming support functions is a prerequisite. This foundation would normally be obtained through a bachelor's degree, preferably in computer science or business, or equivalent training and applied experience. Foundation knowledge and skills for the Analyst/Programmer, depending on the position assignment, may include working knowledge of a specific industry standard applications programming language and knowledge of standard systems analysis techniques.
Preferred Qualifications
- C#, HTML, Java, SQL, and PL-SQL Experience
- 2+ Years' experience in OnBase Development Experience
- 2+ OnBase Workflow Experience
- At least 5 years or more of application development experience in IT
- Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum software development methodology
Specialized Skills:
- Experienced knowledge of the Hyland OnBase platform and application.
- Ability to write and understand both SQL and PL/SQL to do complex data lookups and processing.
- Good communications skills are strongly desired as well as willingness to share the knowledge with the new team members, which at times may require on-hands training.
- Microsoft SQL Server database experience.
Licenses and/or Certifications Preferred:
Current OnBase Developer Certifications such as any of the following:
- OnBase Certified Workflow Administrator (OCWA)
- OnBase Certified Workview Developer (OCWV)
- OnBase Certified API Developer (OCAPI)
- OnBase Certified System Administrator (OCSA)
Compensation and Benefits
Starting salary upon appointment is not expected to exceed $8,500 per month.
Salary placement is determined by the education, experience, and qualifications the candidate brings to the position, internal equity, and the hiring department's fiscal resources.

CSU Classification Salary Range: $4,678-$11,547 per month.
SDSU Vaccine Policy
In accordance with the California State University systemwide policy, students, faculty, and staff must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or provide a valid medical or religious exemption in order to access campus. Individuals are considered fully vaccinated for five months after their final dose of a two-dose COVID-19 vaccine or for two months after receiving the only dose of a single-dose vaccine. Afterward a COVID-19 booster is required to continue to be considered fully vaccinated.
The individual hired into this role will be required to submit their completed vaccination documentation to the university's secure online health portal prior to beginning work. Individuals with an approved medical or religious exemption on file with the university will be required to participate in SDSU's COVID-19 testing program.
