Minimum Qualifications:
Master’s in anthropology or archaeology

OR

Bachelor’s in either of the above

AND

Master’s in sociology, biological sciences, forensic sciences, genetics or paleontology

OR

Possess a valid California teaching credential authorizing service in a community college in the appropriate subject matter area.

OR

The equivalent. Equivalent qualifications may include related education, training, employment and professional experience that would be equal to the required degree(s) and experience in this field as determined by the District Equivalency Committee.

Desirable Qualifications:
Physical Anthropology training/knowledge.

Four-Field approach training/knowledge.

Experience designing and teaching curricula responsive to the needs of historically underrepresented and/or marginalized students. Experience using multi-modal approaches and student-centered pedagogy to meet the needs of first generation, immigrant, and low-income students.
